Born out of curiosity and an interest in performer-led music-making, Missing Pieces is a collection of 5 compositions - mainly text and graphic scores - created by Gemma Bass. Key elements of the music are left to chance or choice and put into the hands of whoever is performing them.

Suitable for students, amateurs and professionals, large ensembles and chamber groups - anyone wanting more autonomy in their music-making and has so far been performed by nearly 200 musicians across the UK.

The physical copies of the scores have sold out, but anyone can buy the pdfs online and use these pieces for performance, workshops, as a teaching aid or a lauchpad for improvisation or composition.
